New Beginnings
We ended our finals week with one last service opportunity towards the campus. It was great to see students take initiative towards sharing God's love through free coffee and cookies. They encountered many stressed people throughout the week, but still had opportunities to encourage random people and even had chances to offer prayer and pray for students. It's been highly encouraging to see students work together to love the campus for Jesus.
"Words can't express how much AACF has impacted my life. Freshman year, I wasn't even seeking but open, and was invited to small group at AACF. That small group really changed my life. It was a safe environment to ask questions and walk closer to Jesus on my own timing, and by the end of the school year, I had become a Christian. Sophomore year, AACF provided outlets for me to connect with God personally. The prayer retreat didn't really jumpstart my prayer life or anything, but did give me the interesting idea of singing my prayers to God, which became the impetus for growing in prayer. The prayer group that had started that year really helped me to grow in the things I prayed for (more global issues as opposed to just myself) and provided a safe environment for me to pray out loud and not feel self-conscious about it. My accountability partner from my small group and I also started doing prayer journals, and that helped me a lot in feeling more confident in praying out loud. Junior year leading prayer really helped me to grow, as did doing chapter leading senior year. I can see how God has been working in me and stretching me beyond my comfort zones. I can also see how God has used what He has taught me in AACF in my "ministry" in student teaching."

Thanks to all of my friends and family who supported and prayed for the ministries and myself this year! My next post, I'll share reflections on what God has taught me and where he is challenging me for the next year! (June 5th, I promise!)
